Returns and Refunds
We want you to love your Crank Caps gear as much as we do. If for any reason it’s not quite right, we’ve made returns simple and straightforward.
Application of Policy
This policy applies to products purchased online from AAPS Services Group Pty Ltd (ACN 660 721 746) trading as Crank Caps (Crank Caps) through our website <https://www.crankcaps.com.au/> (Website).
This policy intends to operate consistently with your rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (Australian Consumer Law).
Australian Consumer Law
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you have rights that cannot be excluded.
If you purchase a product from Crank Caps and that product is faulty, not as described, not fit for purpose, or does not meet consumer guarantees, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.
If the problem is major, you may choose a refund or replacement.
If the problem is not major, Crank Caps may choose to repair the item, or provide a replacement or refund where appropriate.
Love It or Your Money Back
If you’re not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days for a full refund. No awkward questions, no dramas.
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all eligible products from the date you receive your order.
To be eligible for a return:
Items must be:
- unused, unworn, uninstalled, and in original condition
- returned in their original packaging, with all accessories, manuals and promotional items included; and
- accompanied with proof of purchase.
Items must not show signs of installation, wear, or damage
Once your return is approved and received, we’ll process your refund back to your original payment method.
Items not eligible for change of mind return
To the extent permitted by law, Crank Caps will not accept change of mind returns for:
- custom-made, personalised or special-order items;
- clearance or final sale items marked as non-returnable;
- gift cards or vouchers; or
- items that have been used, installed, damaged, altered or improperly stored after delivery.
Products that have been installed, fitted to a bicycle, or used in riding conditions are not eligible for change of mind returns unless defective.
Subject always to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, if any accessories include wearable or safety items (for example gloves, protective accessories, hydration components, or similar), we may not accept a change of mind return for hygiene or safety reasons.
This does not limit rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law,
How to Start a Return
- Contact our team via the Contact Us page
- Include your order number and a brief reason for the return
- We’ll reply with return instructions. To help process the request, we may ask for the order number, proof of purchase and photos of the item and packaging.
- Send the item back to us using the provided details
We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we can’t be responsible for items lost in transit.
Return Shipping Costs
If the return is accepted for change of mind, return postage is the responsibility of the customer.
Original shipping fees are non-refundable, unless the item is faulty or incorrect
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you receive:
- A faulty item
- The wrong product
- An item damaged in transit
Please contact us as soon as possible (ideally within 7 days of delivery). We’ll sort it out quickly.
Refund Processing Time
Once your return arrives and is inspected:
Refunds are typically processed within 3–5 business days after approval.
The time taken for funds to appear in your account will depend on the payment provider and financial institution. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to finalise the transaction
We’ll notify you once your refund has been issued.
Sale Items
Sale items are covered by our 30-day returns policy, unless clearly marked as final sale
Items marked final sale are non-refundable, unless faulty
After 30 Days
Except to the extent permitted or required by law, refunds are not available after 30 days from delivery.
That said, we’re reasonable humans- if something isn’t right, get in touch with us and we’re happy to discuss options where possible.
Exchanges
We don’t currently offer direct exchanges for different items.
If you want a different item, we recommend returning your original purchase for a refund and placing a new order.
Promotional Items
If a product purchased as part of a promotional offer, bundle or multi-buy deal is returned for change of mind and Crank Caps accepts the return, Crank Caps may (if it has disclosed these terms as part of the promotion) recalculate the order value to reflect the removal of the relevant item from the promotion.
If a free item was supplied as part of a qualifying purchase, that free item may also need to be returned before a full refund is issued, unless otherwise required by law.
Consumer Guarantee Notice
For consumers in Australia, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
